How to crochet apron for your doll

Step by step photo tutorial and instructions in American (US) terminology

Fot this cute apron for my sheep I used less than 10g of mercerized cotton yarn "Tango" (125m /50g). Also, you will need 2mm or 2,5mm crochet hook, scissors, sewing needle and of course crochet sheep :)

Abbreviations :

ch - chain

sl st - sleep stitch

sk - skip

sc – single crochet

hdc - half double crochet

dc - double crochet

Step 1

Ch 6 and join with sl st to make a ring.

Step2

Make 10sc in the ring ensuring your stitches are close together. Turn.

Step 3

Ch 6 (count as 1dc and 3ch), *sk 1sc, 1dc, ch3* repeat 4 times, sk 1sc, 1dc. Turn.

Step 4

Ch 1, (1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc) make in the same st, 1sc in the 3ch space, *(1hdc, 1dc,1hdc) make in dc, 1sc in the 3ch space* repeat 5 times. Turn.

Step 5

Ch 5, sk 2, 1sc, *ch 6, sk 3, 1 sc* repeat 5 times, ch 5, 1 sc in the 1st of previous row. Turn.

Step 6

Ch 3, 3 dc in the 5ch space, *7 dc in the 6ch space* repeat 5 times, 4 dc in the 5ch space.

Step 7

Ch 41, make 40 hdc, start in the second chain from the hook.

Step 8

We continue with hdc. Now we make 17 hdc in the middle part of our apron like on the picture bellow:

Step 9

Ch 41, make 40 hdc, start in the second chain from the hook, sl st in the middle part of our apron. Fasten off the yarn and secure it so the stitch will not unravel.
